景点英文介绍:
As the smallest out of the three islands in Erhai Lake, Yu Ji Island covers an area of 40 mu (6.6 acres), and it got the name because the island looks like a chair. In around 1871 the rebel leader Wenxiu Du had his water force camped on Yu Ji Island, hence the island is also called “Tiansheng Camp”, or Born Camp, meaning the camp is naturally built by God. Yu Ji Island is surrounded by water, and a stone arc bridge was built in around 1877 to link the island to the land. There are two reefs called “Fish Eagle Stones” appearing in the water, just like a pair of Mandarin ducks playing with water. Meanwhile you can find other tourist attractions on the island, including Yu Bo Pavilion, Yu Ji Nunnery, Zhao’s Ancestral Temple, Liping Yang’s Sun Palace and Moon Palace, and Qing Zhao’s mansion, Qing Cottage.
